Functional Expertise

We follow a 8-step approach for the set up and operations of data center. It’s crucial to note that the set up cycle is not a one-time process but rather an ongoing lifecycle. As technology evolves and client requirements change, maintenance tasks are continuously performed to keep the data center efficient, secure and reliable.

Planning & Design

We determine the requirements for the data center including the capacity, network infrastructure, power, cooling needs and hardware & software specifications. Designing the layout and architechture of the data center is also carried out during this phase.

Site Prepartion

Once the design is finalized, the data center site is selected and prepared. This may involve constructing or renovating the physical space, ensuring proper power supply, having sufficient HVAC systems for cooling and implementing security measures.

Hardware Procurement and Installation

Based on the design specifications, hardware components such as servers, storage devices, cables, racks, networking equipment and other infrastructure components are procured and installed.

Software Configuration

Once the hardware is installed, we configure the required software applications such as operating systems, remote management tools, virtualization software, security software and other applicationsneeded in the data center operations.

Networking Setup

This phase involves configuration of network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and other networking devices. We also set up VLANs, IP address, routing protocols and security measures such as firewalls.

Testing and Optimization

Comprehensive testing including performance testing, security testing and disaster recovery testing is then performed to ensure that all systems are functioning as expected. Based on the test results, fine-tuning of systems is carried out to improve performance and efficiency

Commissioning and Handover

After successful testing and optimization, the data center is commissioned for production use. We formally handing over the operational responsibility of the data center by providing necessary documentation, training and knowledge transfer to the relevant client teams

Ongoing Maintenance and Monitoring

Once the data center is operational, we assist the client teams with ongoing maintenance tasks such as hardware or software updates, patch management, monitoring & optimization of system performance, capacity planning and ensuring security measures are up-to-date
